This was one of Margo's rare co-writes, with music by Richard Bennett, and it just so happens to be the only song in her entire catalog that I like. Apparently she wrote the lyrics in an attempt to make light of her fear of earthquakes when she moved from New York to Los Angeles, "as though the shaking was simply a communal dance in which we were all engaged". I try in vain to put that out of my mind when I listen to the song.
